MEP Quantity Surveyor Data Centre Construction – Copenhagen, Denmark Key Responsibilities Requirements In Return, Our Client Offers This is a prime opportunity to join a leading contractor’s commercial team and contribute to the successful delivery of a technically complex, high-value data centre project in Denmark.
Our client is a leading specialist data centre main contractor delivering full turnkey solutions across Europe, covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning works.
With a group turnover exceeding €1.5bn and a strong order book for the next three years, they continue to expand across high-value, mission-critical projects.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major data centre development in Denmark.
The MEP Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage the commercial delivery of MEP packages from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontractor packages, including scope definition, pricing, and risk allocation.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against budget, programme, and contractual obligations.
• Assess and process interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Identify and manage change control procedures in line with contract requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates for project management and senior stakeholders.
• Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation, subcontractor selection, and benchmarking.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, internal procedures, and risk management protocols.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate cost capture and reporting.
• Assist in the preparation and resolution of claims or commercial disputes as required.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience managing MEP packages on data centre or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control procedures, and commercial management principles.
• Proven experience in subcontract procurement, valuations, and variation management.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial management software platforms.
